NSFM - Day 22

Featured snack: Turbos Flamas
Rating: Catorce “Ay Chihuahuas!”
Review: At first glance these appeared to simply be “Flamin’ Hot” Fritos that happen to be marketed toward Latino Americans. What I failed to realize is that “Turbos Flamas” bring something altogether new to the Frito-Lay family of snacks.
Although Flamin’ Hot Cheetos are the most successful and well known of the “Flamin’ Hot” line of snacks, Frito-Lay has a Flamin’ Hot version of almost every one of their major brands. After FHC’s popularity took off, Frito-Lay introduced a “Flamin’ Hot with Limón” flavored Cheeto that ups the flavor ante one more notch. However, the “with Limón” variation hasn’t been extended to any of the other brands, including Fritos.
Enter Turbos Flamas. Now you can have that classic ”Flamin’ Hot” after-burn on your tongue, cool red stripes on your fingers (due to the unique corkscrew shape), and all the fun and excitement of consuming a product with a name as badass as TURBOS FLAMAS.
That said, will I eat them again? No. Probably not. They are a little bit gross.
